About the DJ
Q1: What is your Presenter name?

Jim Gellatly

Q2: Describe your show in 5 words:

Alternative classics and new music!

Q3: Why did you get involved with CamGlen Radio?

I joined the committee around 10 years ago after my daughter took part in the Schools programme while at primary school. I've been a professional broadcaster for around 30 years, so it was a great opportunity to put something back.

Q4: What is your favourite show on CamGlen Radio (that isn’t your own)?

Better Out Than In

Q5: If you could interview anyone in the world who would it be and why?

Difficult question. I've already interviewed everyone from the First Minister to international rock stars, so I've not really got a wish list. Maybe Donald Trump would be interesting. I'd like to know if his public image reflects the real guy.

Q6: What is your favourite ice cream flavour?

Scottish tablet (very healthy)

Q7: What is your favourite thing about Cambuslang and Rutherglen?

CamGlen Radio!

Q8: Tell us three interesting facts about you:
  1. I was the first regional radio presenter to interview The Spice Girls
  2. In 2008 I was presented with the Radio Academy’s ‘John Peel Award for contribution to Music Radio’.
  3. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of music... if only I could remember it all.
